Quality Public Spaces

The Quality Public Space Project was originally envisaged as a series of 2010 Soccer World Cup legacy projects incorporating viewing sites in the poorer areas of Cape Town. The aim was to transform ‘dead’ spaces around municipal buildings i.e. libraries and halls into vibrant community public spaces. Via a design process that involved public participation of the local communities in the respective areas, we completed QPS projects in Kasselsvlei, Delft, Kleinvlei, Bellville and Goodwood between the years of 2008-2011.
